After finishing Project #1, I feel as if my skills with both Photoshop and Illustrator have improved immensely. Even after using Photoshop on my own for the past couple of years, I still found new things that I had never knew about through this project. The same goes for Illustrator except for the fact that I had no prior knowledge of illustrator coming into this project. I managed to create some pieces that I am truly proud of and are very visually appealing to me.

An example of this would be this piece that I created that I titled "album cover ghost". Aside from the very plain, generic title, I found this piece incredibly fun to make. I think the minimalist design of the ghost contrasted with the detailed background really makes the ghost pop out. Especially with the shadow that I applied to the ghost to create a sense of a 3-dimensional space. I also love how the background creates a gradient of colors going from black to white.

Another piece that I'm proud of is this one. Even though I just traced the design for the ghost, I still believe that the entire piece looks very good put together. The colors of the pumpkin and the background compliment each other very well to create a Halloween theme to it. What's even more impressive to me was that I created this piece in Illustrator which was a piece of software completely foreign to me until now. Overall, I found this project incredibly enjoyable to do and I'm excited to see what else that this class has to offer.
